Lost in vendor's marketing labyrinth, you too? In the Wan optimization and Application acceleration sector, one thing is for sure: marketing does not bring clarity, but rather elects confusion as a selling concept. Try a tour on web sites: technology details are multiplied, some useful and many fake, each one is larger, stronger, faster… so what? Debates that run on blogs look like playground battle, which leaves us with a bitter taste as we progressively lose the core meanings of such projects for enterprises.
In an attempt to clarify the different aspects of application performance over enterprise networks, my colleague Frank Lyonnet developed an on-line tool that he called with the soft name of SWAN (Strategic WAN Acceleration Navigator). Based on a short interactive questionnaire, SWAN provides a customized analysis in five parts:
- Guarantee of user experience
- Acceleration of business applications
- Simplification of network operations
- Cost reduction
- Wan Governance
Don't hesitate to spend a few moments with it and get your complementary report on http://www.swan-report.com/ - I'm pretty sure that Frank's SWAN will not bring you "In search of lost time"…
